The Neston Parva Mysteries

This is the start of my exciting new series. Like my Much Winchmoor series, it is set on the edge of the Somerset Levels, not a million miles from where I live.

At the moment, there are two books in the pipeline. the first is All The Birds of the Air which will be published very soon. the second in the series is Birds of a Feather. And when I get around to thinking about #3, it will have to be something else with Birds in the title! I just hope I haven’t backed myself into a bird related hole here!

All The Birds Of The Air (Neston Parva Mysteries #1)

Publication date: soon

Who killed Jock Dobbin?

When a series of anonymous notes, loosely based on the old nursery rhyme, Who Killed Cock Robin? start appearing in the small Somerset village of Neston Parva, most people dismiss it as a harmless joke, even if it is in rather poor taste.

But Jess Abbott, a talented jewellery designer who’s recently moved to the village, doesn’t think there’s anything remotely funny about it.  For Jock Dobbin has just died and left everything to Jess.  The two cottages he owned, his bank account and – even though this wasn’t mentioned in his will – Alfie, his sad eyed dog.

The only problem is – Jess has never met him and has no idea why she would be his sole beneficiary.

So on moving in to his cottage (where the neighbours are decidedly unfriendly)  Jess is more concerned with finding an answer to her own question – who was Jock Dobbin?

But the deeper she digs, the more she comes to think that Jock’s death wasn’t the accident the coroner ruled it to be.

And now, Jess also wants to know Who killed Jock Dobbin? But the closer to the truth she gets, the more danger she finds herself in.

Somebody in Neston Parva doesn’t want the truth to come out – and will do whatever it takes to prevent that.
